On Tuesday, January 9, Architectural
Assistant Professor Imdat As gave a talk in Turkey at Bilkent University
on the use of digital media applications during the architectural
design practice.
The presentation was titled “The future is History: Architecture in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” and covered early three-dimensional modeling tools, motion-graphic, augmented reality, and crowdsourcing methods. Imdat is the founder of a ground breaking crowdsourcing platform for architectural design projects: Arcbazar.com. In addition, the talk touched on the “current research on artificial intelligence and its nascent explorations in architecture.”
At the University of Hartford, Imdat instructs architectural design studios and digital media courses.
