Networkology: College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture - April 14, 2015.

The University of Hartford’s - College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture Student Professional Society Chapters hosted two networking receptions, one on April 14, 2015.   Networkology, a five event series throughout this academic year, culminated in the Networking Reception.  The event was designed as an opportunity for students to speak with engineering professionals to gain a working knowledge of the profession and the types of careers they might wish to pursue after completing their education.

This Networking Reception, held on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm in UT 320, assembled a group that included CETA junior, senior and graduate students, faculty, recent alumni and a mix of local professionals.  The reception included a “progressive dinner” where seating arrangements changed for each course of the 3 - course meal to ensure that everyone was able to meet several different people with enough time for meaningful conversation.

This final event of the Networkology Series was beneficial to all participants from students to professionals.  Students and professionals alike were extremely pleased with the connections made for future internships and/or career opportunities.  This unique event not only allowed the opportunity for students to gain experience in networking and begin mapping a path for future career endeavors, but also allowed industry professionals to see the potential of CETA students.  We look forward to the continuation and growth of this event series in future academic years.
